Level 4 School Sports Coach Apprenticeship (18 months fixed term)

Grade 1, SCP 1, £9.50 per hour

Pro rata salary £13,834pa (FTE £18,333pa)

30 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Term time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks)

Chilwell Croft Academy is a rapidly improving primary, which is well supported by staff and parents alike. The Sports Coach apprentice has an important role to play in improving the health and wellbeing of children, families and communities by delivering fun, inclusive and engaging activities that help to bring about a change in physical activity habits. They will use extensive technical and tactical sports knowledge and skills to design and deliver coaching programmes that engage, motivate and evolve participants’ skills and performance.

During this programme, Apprentices will engage with training that will develop and enhance their coaching skills and equip them to work in a variety of environments, with a range of stakeholders and work effectively in partnership with other organisations. In addition to this, there will also be a unique opportunity for candidates to engage with training that will develop and enhance their classroom practice/teaching skills so they can deliver whole class teaching for PE.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field
  • Level 2 NGB Qualification (Desirable)
  • Competent in literacy and numeracy to Level 2  

Confident undertaking basic maths and literacy tasks with groups of children based on the current national curriculum requirements.

Assistant Site Supervisor

Working on a 2 week rotation: 

Week 1: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm  

Week 2: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm

Equitas Academies Trust, based at Aston Manor Academy but working across Trust

Grade 2, Point 3 – 8, £18,887 – £20,852pa

Equitas Trust is seeking to appoint an Assistant Site Supervisor, to work primarily at Aston Manor Academy but with duties across the Trust, who is organised and able to work unsupervised to undertake a range of maintenance tasks. The post-holder will have full responsibility of opening and locking up the school site and will work alongside the Building Site Supervisors to provide a clean, safe and secure environment for users of the Academy buildings and grounds. Please note this role incorporates a split shift rota so the successful candidate will be flexible in their approach to work and can work from 6am on the earlier shift until 7pm on the later shift.
