Aston Manor Academy – Head of ICT/Computing
Salary: £30,000 – £46,525 per annum, MPS/UPS + TLR 2b
Required for September 2024
Aston Manor Academy are seeking to appoint a well-qualified innovative and enthusiastic Head of IT/Computing. The successful candidate will first and foremost be an excellent classroom practitioner, who has enthusiasm for their subject, is able to motivate and inspire students and will further support the high achievements of the department.
Applications are welcome from all teachers and is a great opportunity for someone stepping into Leadership for the first time or already with leadership experience. Within the department, we teach ICT/Computing at Key Stage 3, OCR Creative iMedia at Key Stage 4 and OCR National Level 3 IT post-16. An understanding of OCR iMedia is essential but experience in delivering at KS5 is desirable but not essential for the role.

Aston Manor Academy – Health and Social Care Teacher (Full Time/Part Time)

Aston Manor Academy are seeking to appoint a well-qualified innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Health and Social Care. The successful candidate will first and foremost be an excellent classroom practitioner, who has enthusiasm for their subject, is able to motivate and inspire students and will further support the high achievements of the department. Our 6th form is growing and the flexibility in the role is possible due to the growth of the number of our 6th form, increased number of students studying similar subjects in KS4 and the evolving landscape of post-16 education.
Applications are welcome from both experienced and newly qualified teachers who are looking for a full time or part time role. The post would involve you mostly teaching post-16 Pearson BTEC Health and Social Care but could also involve some teaching of KS4. Any part time working will be dependent on the 6th form timetable for September 2024.

Aston Manor Academy – Teacher of Science
Salary: £30,000 to £46,525pa, M1 to UPS3
Required for September 2024
Aston Manor Academy are seeking to appoint a well-qualified, innovative and enthusiastic Teacher of Science. The successful candidate will first and foremost be an excellent classroom practitioner, who has enthusiasm for their subject, is able to motivate and inspire students and will further support the high achievements of the department. This role is perfectly suited to an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher. There is the opportunity for a suitably qualified candidate to teach at Key Stage 5 in A Level Biology or Chemistry and/or Level 3 Applied Science. The Science department has been extensively renovated in the last few years, with several newly refurbished labs and is supported by two experienced Science technicians.
